About Us

We’re Big O's Texas BBQ, and we’ve been a barbecue restaurant here in Waterford, WI, since 2021. We specialize in authentic Texas barbecue and culture, and we offer brisket, pulled pork, chicken, ribs, and much more, all smoked and seasoned to perfection. Our owner Otis fell in love with barbecue as a kid growing up in Dallas and he's been sharing his passion ever since. We’re looking forward to partnering with Racine, Kenosha, and Walworth counties to continue to offer a premier barbecue restaurant experience. Our Story

Big O's Texas BBQ is the culmination of a lifelong passion for authentic Texas barbecue, served with a side of Southern hospitality. Located in Waterford, WI, our family-owned restaurant has been bringing the rich flavors and traditions of Texas barbecue to the heart of the Midwest since 2021. At Big O's, we pride ourselves on offering an unforgettable dining experience with smoked meats and savory sides that are seasoned and cooked to perfection. Otis, the heart and soul behind Big O's, discovered his passion for barbecue as a young boy growing up in Dallas, Texas. Every time the family gathered for a barbecue, his mom would let him handle the grill, sparking a love for grilling and smoking meats that would follow him throughout his life. His commitment to creating the finest barbecue came from years of perfecting the craft, learning the art of slow-smoking meats, and mastering the balance of flavors. This passion has become the foundation of Big O's Texas BBQ, where every dish is a reflection of Otis’s dedication to excellence.

On Sunday, my wife and I dined at Big O's. The owner took the time to verify that our meals were satisfactory. He engaged with us at length, responding to our questions. Furthermore, he presented us with sample dishes. I highly recommend their place.

I stopped in today while passing through. The entrance is a little bit confusing, but the entrance is on the street side by the gazebo. I had a nice talk with the owner and some of his staff. While waiting for my order, I was asked if I'd be interested in trying a new dessert that they want to add to the menu board. This was some of the best banana pudding that I've ever tried. I ordered a 1/2 pound of Brisket and a half pound of sausage to try, this is how I determine if they know how to smoke meats. In my opinion, they nailed both items perfectly. The sausage had a great snap to the casing and good flavor. The Brisket was over the top good. The seasoning is spot on with the perfect amount of smoke, and it was nice and moist. I didn't use any BBQ sauce. It was not needed. I know that I'll be back for more very soon.
